Yesterday, when Pod2G told through twitter that people who are waiting for untethered JailBreak of iPhone 4S and iPad 2 can expect it in a week, everyone had one question. What would happen if Apple releases another firmware? If anyone updated incidentally, they might not be able to revert back due to non-availability of SHSH Blobs support. Finally, the problem has been solved.
Now, you can save SHSH Blobs of iPhone 4S (9A406) using TinyUmbrella. However, there’s no use of the SHSH Blobs until DevTeam releases a new version of Redsn0w which allows you to revert back on iOS 5.x.x. Anyhow, you can always downgrade to iOS 4.x.x if you had saved APTickets or SHSH Blobs previously. Also, Pod2G has informed to update your A5 devices to iOS 5.0.1 even if you care about JailBreak.
It seems that the untethered JailBreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 would arrive on iOS 5.0.1 only which is the latest firmware right now. Until Apple comes up with iOS 5.1, we advise you to save your SHSH Blobs. They would be useful for the downgrade process in the future. Let’s know if you have any doubt in the comment section.
